BlackEdge Ventures is the acquisitions and portfolio arm of Higley Group LLLP, a family enterprise founded in Twin Falls, Idaho. We acquire owner-operated businesses in the trades, services, and light manufacturing space and run them long-term as operators, not financial engineers.

Josiah Higley
Managing Partner
Born and raised in southern Idaho, Josiah grew up around business; learning early that building something real takes grit, patience, and people you can trust. As Managing Partner, he leads acquisitions and portfolio operations with a simple belief: buy good businesses, treat the people in them well, and grow them for the long run. He's not a dealmaker who disappears after close, you'll find him deep in the details, on the hard calls, and invested in what happens next. He lives in Twin Falls with his wife and kids.

Tyler Platt believes the best investment you can make is in a business that’s already earning trust in its community. As Chief Growth Officer at BlackEdge Ventures, he works alongside owners, operators, and investors to grow companies the right way with real accountability and a long view. Outside the office, Tyler is a husband and dad of three boys who keeps him grounded in what matters most.
